[Lagos, NGA, June 8, 2023] – The Witsprouts Project is pleased to announce the formation of the Advisory Board for its next Anthologies project. The Board will play a crucial role in shaping the project’s direction, ensuring the highest standards of literary excellence.
The goal of the Witsprouts Anthologies project is to build a world-class platform for writers and storytellers to showcase their work and get recognition, and establish themselves in the literary world. The expertise and experience of the Advisory Board, comprised of prominent people from the fields of literature, publishing, cultural management, and entrepreneurship will guide and support this mission.
The members of the Advisory Board are:
- Basit Jamiu – Renown Literary Curator, Journalist, and Senior Editor at Legit.ng
- Ibrahim Babatunde Ibrahim – Editor, Widely Published Writer and Quramo Writer’s Prize Winner
- Sada Malumfashi – Widely Published Writer, Cultural Management Specialist and Director of Open Arts Development Foundation
- Tobi Eyinade – Book Publishing and Distribution Expert, Entrepreneur, and Co-Founder of Roving Heights Bookstore
- Tochi Eze – Lawyer, Editor, Doctoral Researcher, and Author of This Kind of Trouble (Tiny Reparations, 2025)
Each board member brings unique perspectives, insights, and a valuable industry network that will contribute to the project’s success. Their involvement demonstrates a shared passion for promoting a vibrant literary and cultural landscape.
The Advisory Board will play a pivotal role in shaping the project’s vision, providing strategic guidance, and upholding the highest standards of literary excellence. They will advise on the selection process, recommend potential contributors, and contribute to the overall quality and impact of the project. Their invaluable contributions will help shape the narrative of the project and amplify the voices of contributing writers.

Witsprouts Anthologies is currently preparing to launch a call for submissions for its next project, “Love Grows Stronger in Death”, inviting emerging writers to submit their original fiction works for consideration. With the guidance and support of the Advisory Board, the anthology is expected to be a compelling collection of diverse voices and thought-provoking narratives.
